For Spring / Summer 2011, GUESS introduces a men's and women's collection that incorporates vintage Americana influences which the GUESS brand was built upon. The men's and women's designs continue to deliver trend defining styles and innovative denim treatments that have kept GUESS at the forefront of American designers since the companies inception in 1981. The women's spring collection is broken down into two main stories: Traveling Faire and Wild Romance. Traveling Faire, the first of the spring deliveries, is built upon American classic vintage style combined with California chic. The collection is dominated by gypsy-inspired stripes, florals and vintage washes. Women's denim is seen in lightweight fabrications which are offered in denim leggings and five pocket jeans. Patchwork detailing ties into the bohemian styling influences seen throughout the spring deliveries. As the weather gets warmer, Wild Romance, a delivery dominated by ruffles, lace detailing and chiffon layers, is introduced. Ditsy floral print dresses, shrunken cardigans and flared denim deliver that all-American iconic imagery that goes hand in hand with the brand. Summer brings the customer back to the all-American theme with Cape Heritage and Brave New World. Indigo reds and whites dominate the collection, which are accented by bleached out chambray blues, sandy pinks and washed corals.
